Snap Row ("the App") is a mobile puzzle game developed by Cenar ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Game Data (Stored Locally)
All gameplay data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We do not operate servers that receive or store your game data. This includes:
- Campaign progress, daily challenge completions, and zen mode records
- Game statistics (stars earned, moves count, play time, streak data)
- App preferences (sound, vibration, theme, notification settings)
- Hint balances and purchase status
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
1.2 Information Collected by Third Parties
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect certain data to serve and measure ads, including:
- Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
- IP address
- General location (country/region level, derived from IP)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
Google's data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent for ad personalization in compliance with GDPR and other regulations.
Apple App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS 14.5 and later, the App requests your permission before allowing Google AdMob to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites for ad personalization. You can change this permission at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, date of birth)
- Account credentials (the App has no account or login system)
- Precise location data
- Contacts, photos, or other device content
- Browsing history or activity outside the App
- Health, financial, or biometric data
2. How We Use Information
We use locally stored game data solely to:
- Save your game progress so you can continue where you left off
- Track your daily streak and challenge completions
- Store your app preferences and settings
- Manage hint balances across sessions
We do not access, transmit, or analyze your game data.
3. Advertising
The App is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. We display:
- Rewarded ads: Optional video ads you can watch to earn in-game hints (limited to 3 per day)
- Rewarded retry ads: Optional video ads for an additional daily challenge attempt
Ad Personalization
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another region where consent is required, Google's UMP consent form will ask for your permission before serving personalized ads. You can change your ad preferences at any time via Settings > Manage Ad Preferences in the App.
If you decline personalized ads or deny tracking permission, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your interests.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: Advertising (Google Privacy Policy)
- Expo Notifications: Local push notification scheduling (Expo Privacy Policy)
Audio Assets
The App streams sound effect files from freesound.org via HTTPS. These requests are standard HTTP requests and do not transmit personal data beyond your device's IP address.
5. Data Retention
- Game data is retained on your device indefinitely until you uninstall the App or clear the App's storage through your device settings.
- Ad consent preferences are managed by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and persist until you change them through the App or reset your device's advertising identifier.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties. The only data sharing occurs through:
- Google AdMob: As described in Section 3, Google collects data for ad serving and measurement according to their own privacy policy.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Your Rights
8.1 GDPR Rights (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:
- Access your data — All game data is stored locally on your device and accessible only to you.
- Delete your data — Uninstall the App or clear its storage in your device settings.
- Withdraw consent for ad personalization — Use Settings > Manage Ad Preferences in the App, or adjust tracking permissions in your device settings.
8.2 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents may request disclosure of data collected about them. Since all game data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect personal information on our servers, there is no data for us to disclose, delete, or sell.
8.3 General
On any platform, you can:
- Deny ad tracking via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.
- Delete all app data by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage.
9. Security
Your game data is stored in your device's local storage, protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, biometrics, encryption). We do not transmit or store your data on external servers.
10. Push Notifications
The App can send local push notifications to remind you about the daily challenge. This feature is:
- Opt-in only — You must explicitly enable it in the App's settings.
- Locally scheduled — Notifications are scheduled on your device; no external push notification service is used.
- Configurable — You can choose the reminder time and disable notifications at any time.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
